INSTRUMENT FOR SUUNTO

Technical but not looking like a sports geek.

Given the opportunity to design the first women-specific outdoor instrument for Suunto,
we wanted to create an approachable precision instrument that's technical and feminine, versatile and intuitive.

The Suunto Lumi is an ABC (altimeter, barometer, compass) wristop computer designed for smart, active women. It's an advanced product suited for both Himalayan trekking and urban Toronto.

We wanted to minimize
the information overload while focusing on the essentials. Round form language makes the product friendly and comfortable in hand. Interface graphics display only the most important or chosen information at any
given time.

The Suunto Lumi has all the functions of an advanced outdoor sport watch, without the gadgety appearance. To create a desirable object, we've used a glistening, mirror-polished stainless steel case, and mirror-coated mineral crystal lens.

The Lumi product range includes distinct personalities. Color is emotive, from bright and sporty to subtle and sophisticated. Pattern adds femininity. Some are nature-inspired, others bold and geometric.

Suunto Lumi is versatile. It's both an advanced outdoor instrument and a daily timepiece. And it can be customized! With multiple strap colours and patterns, you can choose one for a day climb and another for dinner. With the carabiner jacket, Suunto Lumi can be attached anywhere and still protected from a rock wall. As a pendant, it transforms into a stylish timepiece for day or night an elegant symbol of an active lifestyle and a great conversation piece.
