Hot Plates are made from an aluminum composite material typically used for exterior architectural cladding.

Three bonded layers make up the composite: one pre-coated sheet of aluminum, a polyethylene core, and another sheet of aluminum.

Recognizing the need to eliminate scrap during the manufacturing process, Hot Plates are designed from sheets of re-purposed composite that have been scratched or damaged - and would otherwise end up in a landfill. It is also designed for efficient manufacturing, and cutting with a CNC.
